Brown heads to Vale on trial

The 23-year-old will feature for Vale's reserves against Nottingham Forest at Vale Park later today.
If he impresses Vale boss Dean Glover it is thought that he could join on loan with a view to making the deal permanent in January.
Although Brown has been offered a termination by the Robins and will effectively become a free agent, he will only be able to join Vale on loan due to the complexities of the transfer windows.
"I'm giving Scott the chance to play and train with us this week." said Glover.
"Things have changed for him at Cheltenham and he probably has to look elsewhere for football.
"He's a good footballer who is good on the ball, has an eye for a pass and has experience as well."
Brown was offered a termination last week along with fellow midfielders Craig Armstrong, Ben Gill and Aaron Ledgister.
All four are expected to make a decision about the offer later this week.
The window for emergency loan deals closes on Thursday November 23, after which no players can be transferred between clubs until the transfer window reopens in the new year.
